My favorite thing about myself…hmmm… that’s one I’ve got to think on for a bit…
Ok, got it.
One answer here would have to be my regard for other people. I find that people are generally becoming more and more selfish. They think the world should revolve around themselves and the only thing that matters is what they want. They show no regard for the potential effects of their actions on other people and they don’t seem to care about that as long as they get what they want. A little pessimistic viewpoint perhaps, but an observation none the less.
I often forgo fulfilling my personal needs if it means someone else can get something they want. One piece of pizza left and you want it? I would like it, but that’s okay, you can have it. You can’t see the scenery out the window, I will trade places with you. In my view, issues are often simple to resolve. If I can do something to help another person get what they want, it will make them happy to get it and additionally their joy is usually increased by someone being nice to them. If I don’t get to see the view, sit in the better seat, be first in line or whatever the issue, it doesn’t bother me because I am happy being able to help someone else out. Maybe, in a way, that’s a bit self serving on my part? People usually don’t understand getting joy from helping others and they criticize me for being “too nice,” but I don’t see it as being “too” anything… it’s the way I think we should all act. You know “Do unto others” and all.
