Daily Prompt: You’re locked in a room with your greatest fear. Describe what’s in the room.
Why is this post titled “1984?” Is someone fearful of the year 1984 returning? Is it the 1,984th prompt? Am I missing something here?
Anyway…. I can’t say that I have a list of fears and would call one my “greatest.” Sometimes I might get scared by a spider. Sometimes I might be at the top of a tall building, look down and have a sudden fear of falling. Sometimes there will be a horrible tragedy that happens like the recent shooting in Newtown and I will fear for the safety of my children. For me, fears come and go based on situations, they are not something to constantly live with.
I am of course assuming that fear is a negative emotion. For some people, fear is actually fun. Read this interesting article on the matter.
