It seems to me, this question is looking for an answer to include some hi-brow answer like “oh my favorite quote is from” followed by the name of some famous literary figure like Walt Whitman, Maya Angelou, Thoreau or Emerson. Well, I’m not going to approach it from that perspective. I’m going to give you some of my favorite quotes from television shows that have stuck with me over the years. These may not “move” me, but they bring a smile to my face every time I find the opportunity to use one. So, here are a few of my favorites:
“What u talkin’ bout Willis?” -Arnold, Different Strokes
“You know, I brought you in to this world, and I can take you out” – Bill Cosby, The Cosby Show
“Hey, hey, hey!” -Dwayne Nelson, What’s Happening!!
“Uncle Leo, Hello!” – Jerry Seinfeld, Seinfeld
“No soup for you!” – Soup Nazi, Seinfeld
“Excuse me, are you happy with that park?” and “Pig Parker!” – Larry David, Curb Your Enthusiasm
of course, I will finish this post with “and that’s the way it is” – Walter Cronkite, CBS Evening News
